Our Story

If any of you have read the last web site you'll know that Craftworks was born out of a need for me to get myself out of the 5 day a week shuffle of one of Australia's then largest bicycle distributors - Repco Cycles. After doing pretty much all the jobs under the sun at Repco I finished up in their warehouse (after a stint of travelling around the USA). It was the 8.00am starts in the middle of winter that really became a motivator to get my act together and service an area of the mountain bike scene that was generally being ignored or badly treated .

After searching for 6 months I finally came across a great manufacturer that I felt confident about their level of quality and understanding of mountain bikes and suspension. We started working together back in 1996 and now have a great working relationship.

Craftworks has gone from selling frames and bikes to our local bike store to selling Australia wide to now selling across the world. This year has been our biggest year and it just looks like it's going to get bigger and bigger. The response from the USA, Europe and Asia has been phenomenal and it's pleasing to see that all the hard work is paying off.
